The IF Zoo Part 1
This is our first family photo that looked like we were on vacation. We were so spoiled to have such a great trip. The boys traveled great (13 hours in the car each way) and we got to enjoy some of the sights while we were out in Idaho.
Isn't she a cutie? The emus were pretty fun too.
This squirrel was very curious and even stuck his nose out through the fence once.

Remembering Grandpa Petersen
I'll admit that I didn't know Grandpa Petersen very well. I'd only met him twice before he passed away. I have met several people whose lives were very affected by the person he was and feel I knew him through them. I know he will be greatly missed by friends and loved ones. I hope when I have come to that point in my life that I will be satisfied with the life I have lived and have had the opportunity to enjoy seeing so many of my family grow up.
I really enjoyed meeting so many of my husband's family and was really glad the boys got to spend time with their grandparents.

Home Sweet Hotel
Okay, this has nothing to do with hotels, it was just a really cute picture.
This was were we stopped for lunch after our night at the hotel and on that really hot day the soft serve ice cream tasted so good.
This was one of those "wow you've got that covered" moments. I think he's only had his own ice cream cone a handful of times but he's my child and obviously a natural when it comes to eating frozen creations out of edible vessels. :)
I had to laugh as the boys really enjoyed watching Mickey Mouse Playhouse on the hotel TV in the morning. I think they would have stayed there all day if we could have.
One of the perks of being two is you can hang out watching TV in your undies and have someone hand you a cup of cereal and call it breakfast. Those were the good years.

New Tricks
My toddler found a new place to hide in the kitchen. He really scared me the first time he disappeared in there. Who knows if I ever would have figured it out if he hadn't poked his head out to say, "I'm right here."
Oh my, the fact that he has only two teeth and they aren't his middle ones doesn't seem to slow him down at all as he took to this watermelon like he was made to eat it.
