I love to go to the mall, not because I like to shop, because there is a playground.

Turkey Cake Pops
I've recently learned something about myself, I don't care much for craft projects but if you can eat it suddenly my interest is peeked. This led to a preschool treat...cake pop turkeys. They turned out cuter than I had pictured and once I got the hang of it they went together really quickly. Thanks to Banessa for coming over to help me make them.
These turkeys were entirely edible. The cake pop is the standard cake/frosting mixture which we dipped in chocolate. I dipped a small marshmellow in chocolate for the head which had to set to keep from sliding off. The feathers, feet and beak are candy corn cut up and we used white sprinkles for the eyes. These do have to be eaten within a couple of days as the candy corn broke the seal on the cake pop and after a few days starts to dissolve.
These are the cake pops we made at Super Saturday, with models eating them. The Cupcake...
The snowman...who wasn't as cute after he got his head bit off...
And my favorite, the penguin.
Every Christmas I try to find new things to dip in chocolate. These cake pops are made of a yellow cake crumbled and mixed with store bought frosting. They were super yummy and it opened the door to all kinds of cute ideas.
Update: The cake pops are 1 standard size cake crumbled up mixed with 3/4 tub of store bought frosting. You then stick them in the freezer for a bit to harden before dipping them in chocolate.

Pumpkins
One of my favorite holiday traditions is carving pumpkins. I was joking with my husband about how wierd it is that we have entire fields of pumpkins that we are going to gut, cut faces in and put a candle in for a couple of days before we throw them out. What a strange way to use food. Anyway, it's a fun tradition. Uncle Sandy was the party planner this year.
Daddy was feeling this pumpkin's anxiety as he got ready to impale it.
This wasn't how I'd planned it to turn out but the first eye turned out like a cat so why not?
Here's the Ooch. She was the pumpkin planner. These pumpkins were huge.
Here's the three that got put out before it started to rain. Sorry Ooch, I didn't brave the rain again to get a picture of all four of them out there.

"The Park"
Uncle Sandy got us discounted tickets for the "Fright Fest" at Wild Waves. I thought it would be fun for the kiddos since we didn't go to the Fair this year.
The baby was getting up close and personal with this dragon. Maybe he'll be a dentist...
This was the scariest vampire I've ever seen.

Halloweek
I've never been big into Halloween but I really enjoyed it this year. We dressed up several times (when I say we I mean the kids). We still can't decide if this is a horse or giraffe.
Apparently this giraffe or horse was made for walkin'.
And every horse/giraffe needs a cowboy/sheriff.
This is one of my favorites. We left the cape in a freind's car or there would be pictures of the baby in this one too. Instead he just wore the shirt to the ward party. It was so much fun.

#3 B-Day
Boy was I excited about my Birthday! I got to help Mom make, frost, and decorate the cake.
I got two rounds of birthday spankings as Papa Ron had sent some up for me.
The next day I spent all day playing with my new toys. I like to play this one on Mom's bed because then Daniel can't reach it to pull on it and break it.
This was the next day when I was eaten by a shark!

Don't worry I climbed my way out. He couldn't beat me! We actually became friends and he moved into my bedroom where I slept inside for the next week.
